THE MAY APPEAL

As you know, the May Appeal is the only major capital improvement appeal, and without your support, it will be impossible to maintain our beautiful buildings and grounds. Our need is substantial, as we continue to do repairs to our buildings, including Phase two & three of the school exterior masonry repairs, masonry repairs to stone on the Lamarck side of the Church, and ongoing painting and repairs to all buildings. We will be replacing an outdated Fire Alarm system in the School building, continue maintenance on the heating system, and will hopefully implement recommendations from a recent Energy Audit to reduce the cost of our utilities.

As of Tuesday, July 7, our May Appeal pledges equal $76,333 from 617 of our 2,200 families. Please consider donating whatever you can to this important appeal.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY
As most of us are aware, the slow economy is affecting everyone. This, our Christmas in July collection will be for Catholic Charities Packages and Response to Love Center's Need for Essentials.
There will be lists of single items, along with sample pictures of  Packages which you can assemble if you wish.
Please visit our in the vestibule of the Upper Church during the 4th of July Holiday weekend to pick up an ornament.  The gifts should be returned the week of July12-19.
God Bless you for your generous spirit!.

PERPETUAL ADORATION
There is an open invitation for you to participate in the Ministry of Perpetual Adoration. We have been blessed at Christ the King Church with a Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel since June, 2000. The Adoration Chapel is located at the top of the stairs, when entering the Church at the archway between the Church and the School. These doors are unlocked from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily, and 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 pm on Saturday. Please feel free to make a visit to the Chapel. You do not need to be a scheduled adorer in order to come and pray.

"Christ is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end of everything. All times and ages belong to Him. To Him be glory forevermore. May the light of Christ, the light of the faith, continue to shine …. May no darkness ever extinguish it!" - Pope John Paul II, Fear not - Thoughts on Living in Today's World.

There is always a need for Adorers!
If you are interested call Dorothy at 626-5219, or Linda at 839-1889.
New Adorers are always welcome.
Thank you & God bless you!
