Our class schedule this year will be as follows:
Grades 1-5: Sundays beginning September 25th from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.
Grade 6: Mondays beginning October 17th from 7:00 to 8:15 P.M..
Grade 7: Mondays beginning January 9th from 7:00 to 8:15 P.M..
Grade 8: Mondays beginning September 26th from 7:00 to 8:15 P.M.
Grade 9: Once a month in designated homes. Opening class will be held on Sunday September 11th in lower church beginning at 1:30 P.M. and will dismiss at 2:30 P.M.
When dropping your child off on Sunday mornings, the door will open at 10:50 A.M. Please use the school door off of the large parking lot. It is important that you pull up as far as possible to drop your child off. There are cars behind you that need to pull into the lot. Also, the line is “drop off and go” only; if a parent needs to get out of the car to assist the children, or if you need to have a conversation with another parent, teacher, etc., please pull over and park and then cross carefully.
Information about the Faith Formation Program will appear regularly in our Sunday church bulletin. Please read the bulletin weekly to keep up to date. We look forward to working with you and your child/children this year. If you have any questions at any time, do not hesitate to call contact the Faith Formation Office at 839-0946 ext. 306 or e-mail at religioused@ctksnyder.com.
Attendance: It is very important that each student attends the scheduled classes. This becomes imperative especially for grades 6 through 8. If for some reason, your child will be absent due to illness or another valid reason, please call the Faith Formation Office at 839-0946 and inform us.
Calendar: Please make sure that you save the schedule, which pertains to your child(ren). Grades 1 through 5, and 6, 7 and 8 are all beginning and ending classes on different dates. The calendar for grades 9 will be planned together by the teachers and students.
Arrival – Gr. 6, 7 & 8 All students should arrive on time for class. The doors will be opened at 6:55 P.M. Please do not arrive until that time. At 7:15 P.M. the door will be locked. If for some reason you are going to be late, please call the Faith Formation Office.
All students should enter the doorway located on the side of the school parking lot. NO OTHER DOOR WILL BE OPEN.
Dismissal Procedures: All children will exit to the main parking lot from the double doors in the middle of the school building. Teachers will escort the children to the exit. Parents may wait for their child at the entrance, but we ask that you DO NOT enter the building or the classroom corridors.
Closings: As in the past, if the Amherst School District cancels classes, religion classes will not be in session. If for some unforeseen reason classes must be cancelled (for example, snow, water problems), the public schools as well as the radio stations will be notified.
Mass: Once again, we ask that you come together on Saturday or Sunday to celebrate God’s goodness in your life. Mass is part of each student’s faith formation. We ask that you bring your child with you to this the greatest form of prayer in the Church, the Eucharist.
