Marriage
Engaged couples should contact the Rectory to make an appointment to arrange the date and time of their wedding. After the priest meets with the couple to make the arrangements, the couple must participate in a Catholic marriage preparation program. Christ the King Parish offers a one–day class. To register, please contact Donna and David Ortolani at 633–9908. The couple may also participate in a program offered by the Diocese. These include Journey into Love, Cana II, and Catholic Marriage Preparation On–Line.
Anointing of the Sick
Jesus came to heal the whole person, body and soul. The Church continues Christ’s healing ministry in the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick. Anyone anticipating surgery, a stay in the hospital or advanced in age is encouraged to receive this sacrament. Please contact the rectory to arrange individual anointing.
Becoming Catholic
We welcome your interest in Catholicism! The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a program specifically designed for adults who wish to discover the essentials of our Roman Catholic faith. Sessions are conducted periodically, often in cooperation with other parishes in the Amherst area.
Please contact Renée Villa at the Rectory.
Funerals
Please have your Funeral Director contact the Rectory to set up the date and time for the funeral. The funeral home’s Director should give your family a copy of the Christ the King Funeral Booklet. This contains the guidelines for planning the funeral. Family participation is encouraged. The Rectory staff will be glad to work with you if you require help with planning. Grief counseling is available. Please call the rectory (839-1430) for further information.
