Bereavement

• Remembrance cards are sent out at intervals throughout the first year of your loss.  
• In Spring or Fall, those who have lost a loved one will receive a flower to commemorate the loss of their loved one.

Annual Bereavement Mass in November 

This Mass is celebrated along with our parish community for those who have suffered the loss of a loved one in the past year. During this special “celebration of life,” the Book of Life is presented with the gifts that are bought up to the altar. The Names of our beloved deceased are read aloud and a Candle of Remembrance is given to the attending family. A reception follows in the Church Library. At this time, the bereaved can enjoy baked goods that have been lovingly prepared by our parishioners. They will also receive a personalized ornament in memory of their loved one and a prayer shawl that was knitted for them by one of the members of our Prayer Shawl Ministry. Each shawl has been blessed by our Pastor, Fr. John Gaglione.
